Our Purpose
Canadian drug policies are broken. People are hurting, suffering, and dying because of it.
It’s time for an honest conversation about addiction and recovery.
It’s time to push back against the attitudes, stigma, and systems that keep us stuck and harm locked in place.
There's no time for compromises. We're here to fight for justice, health, recovery – and real change.
Our values
Self-Control
Straight edge rejects substances that cloud your judgment or mess with your body and mind. Choosing clarity, staying in control, and living life without depending on substances to numb the pain or enhance the highs.
Rebellion Against Harmful Norms
Straight edge rejects the idea that you need alcohol, drugs, or anything else to fit in, cope, or belong.
Respect for Yourself
Living straight edge means valuing your body and mind enough to keep them free from harm, and seeing yourself as worth more than the temporary escape substances might offer.
Respect for Others
Straight edge builds community and supports others in living authentically. In recovery spaces especially, straight edge values empathy and solidarity.
Taking Responsibility
Straight edge is a call to own your choices, being accountable for how you live, and making decisions that align with your values. Freedom through discipline.
Living With Purpose
Straight edge is about living intentionally instead of passively. Using that clarity and energy to do something meaningful, and showing up fully in your own life.
